| Eagle fishing sequence |
|
I've been lucky even to see the country's national bird up close in the wild. These
birds come down to midwest all the way from Alaska looking for food during heavy winter. When the temperature falls really low (usually below
0 degree farenheit) river mississippi will be covered with ice which makes the eagles fishing difficult. But the water just below the lock and dams
will be open. Eagles concentrate below dams. If you are willing to stand and weight out in -10 degree farenheit (-23 degree centigrade) for few hours
with right camera and lens you can get shots like this!!. I drove 180 miles multiple times and waited hours before I got this sequence.

| Eagle fishing sequence 2 |
|
This sequence was taken in Feb 2011. The day was not that bright. Midwest USA gets lots of 'grey' days during
winter. Bad light doesn't help photography very much. But doesn't stop eagles from being active. It takes only less than half of a second for an eagle to catch a fish once it's ready for action!
